Audience studies
The largest music-focused consumer study globally. I designed, managed, wrote, analysed, and reported the project which took place across 26 countries. It had measurable impacts upon recording industry policy, business development, and marketing
An original mixed-methods study of smartphone engagement in Nigeria which led to improved commercial terms with telecom providers
An analysis of commercial radio listeners which discovered the ways in which music uplifted all other aspects of radio interaction.

Examining the real-world impact of litigation upon the popularity and usage of specific illegal sites and the surrounding piracy ecosystem before and after the imposition of ISP-level site blocking.
Analysis of global revenue data for the recorded music industry to produce IFPI’s Global Music Report. I was the sole author of the GMR’s analysis for three years.
Modelling flows into and out of the criminal justice system and prisons to gauge the significance of hypothetical sentencing policy changes.
Producing a public study that analysed and sized the landscape of unlicensed content distribution and consumption.

I created original and rigorous research methodologies for successful court applications which formed the analysis backbone of litigation, including:
+ demonstrating the level of infringing content hosted on bittorrent, cyberlocker, stream ripping, and other piracy-focused sites
+ calculating unlicensed site revenues to demonstrate profit levels
